Instruments in the Attic?

Do you have an unused band or orchestral instrument in your attic, basement or in the back of a closet? The Rotary Club of Yarmouth in conjunction the DY Band Parents Association is collecting those unused instruments and refurbishing them for use in the elementary school band. Even better, you can get a tax deduction for the donation of that instrument.
The ultimate goal is to have a complete inventory of band and orchestral instruments for the elementary school music department. In this way students can begin their musical education without the financial burden of renting or purchasing instruments. Parents can then determine if their child has the interest and determination to continue their musical education in middle and high school.
Bring your unused instrument to Friday's meeting or speak with Tom Tomasik or Mike Riley for additional information.
